Episode III: Passions
Disembarking by boat, Clyde notices a lovely girl, Robert Oven, who has just been hired to work in the department he heads, on the shore. Young people begin to meet and get closer. But the idyll doesn’t last long. The town's "golden youth" (especially active girls debating whether the more handsome is Clyde or his cousin Gilbert) decide to include an attractive young man in their amusement circle. A romance begins between him and the beautiful, rich, glorified Sondra. Just then, a thunderstorm from heaven strikes with the news of Robert’s pregnancy. She does not succumb to Clyde’s persuasions to terminate it. The young man is determined to commit a crime.
