Film industry event "SCA Directions"

"SCA Directions" is a film industry event program developed by the European film festival "Scanorama," designed for film professionals, emerging filmmakers, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of contemporary filmmaking, distribution, and the inner workings of the industry.

"SCA Directions" serves as a platform for knowledge, experience, and dialogue, connecting the Lithuanian and international film communities. The program focuses on key industry issues: creative processes, financing, distribution, international circulation, technological shifts, challenges regarding authorship, and professional identity within a global context.

The program aims to strengthen filmmakers' competencies, foster long-term professional growth, and help navigate the ever-changing film industry. "SCA Directions" seeks not only to impart knowledge but also to create a space for meetings, discussions, and the exchange of experiences that can lead to new collaborations and creative initiatives.

The program places special emphasis on a practical perspective of cinema as a process—spanning the journey from the birth of an idea to the film reaching its audience.
