At the beginning of Pan, Lieutenant Thomas Glahn, a hunter and former soldier, lives alone and hunts in the woods with his faithful dog Aesop. Once he meets a girl, Edward, the merchant’s daughter. Soon he falls in love with a girl, but she is constantly unfaithful to him, knitting novels with young men one after another. Influenced by Edward’s behavior, Glahn himself humiliates his friend Dotora, who seems to end this quasi-love triangle.
Filmed in Melbu, Norway and Algeria. The premiere in Oslo took place on October 16, 1922. The film was played by Edward Grieg during the screening.
