It is a film about one of the most prominent and at the same time controversial Norwegian writer, Nobel Prize winner Knut Hamsun. The film tells the story of the writer’s life during World War II, when he supported Nazi ideology, and his trial. The film is based on the novel The Case Against Hamsun by the writer Torkild Hansen and was written by the well-known Swedish poet and writer Per Olov Enquist.
