Two detectives from Oslo arrive in the far north of Norway to help local police catch a particularly brutal murderer of women. On the land of long bright nights, where the rhythm of sleep is disturbed, one of the detectives (Stellan Skarsgård) quickly loses his sense of reality. Assassin hunting becomes a journey beyond. Everything in this movie doesn’t look like reality. Per Haddal, a film critic for Aftenposten magazine, called it "the northern story of hell. And it's a damn great film."
