The virtual reality installation Trail of Angels invites viewers on an angel’s journey through the world of M. K. Čiurlionis’s art. In VR space, audiences encounter 60 of the Lithuanian painter’s works – ranging from well-known and easily recognizable to rarely seen – including Serenity, Little Angels, Altar, Angel, The Message, and The Sun. Having toured across Lithuania, the installation has already been experienced by more than 400,000 people. In 2018 it was presented at the Venice Film Festival, in 2019 it won a prestigious UK award for artistic expression and use of technology, and in 2020 it received the Silver Crane Award for professional excellence.
