A Small Confession

Algirdas Araminas was a Lithuanian cinematographer and film director. In 1958, he began working as an assistant cameraman at the Lithuanian Film Studio, later turning to directing, and from 1983 he worked as a director at Lithuanian Television. He filmed A Chronicle of One Day (dir. V. Žalakevičius, 1963) and June – the Beginning of Summer (dir. R. Vabalas, 1970). As a director, he debuted with the short story film Find Me (1967). He became well known for films that explored the world of young people, such as When I Was a Child (1968) and A Small Confession (1972). In the 1980s, together with writer Violeta Palčinskaitė, he created three films for children: Andrius (1980), and the television films The Train to Bulzibar (1986) and The Iron Princess (1988).
