In an industrial town, eighty-year-old Elsie depends on social workers who visit her a few times a week. Noticing their careless attitude, her neighbor Colleen offers to help free of charge. A recluse whose only bond is with her bull terrier, Colleen finds new meaning in caring for Elsie. But when Elsie’s son begins to question Colleen’s sincerity, his suspicions trigger a chain of tragic events, and the social drama gradually turns into a horror movie.
