Michael Snow's Wavelength is one of the most important avant-garde works of the second half of the 20th century, with a 45-minute "narrative" consisting of a static 45-minute zooming into a paintinc on a wall. It explores many of the central themes of Snow's work, such as questions about the nature of vision, the material world as experienced through the senses, the relationship between sight and sound.
