A senior policeman is brutally murdered at a hospital in Stockholm. It turns out that the murdered man abused his privileges and brutalized civilians. Although his colleagues had been aware of his behavior, complaints about him were suppressed. While the investigation is ongoing, a well-armed man climbs up on a roof in Stockholm. „The Man on the Roof“ was inspired by the film „The French Connection“ (1971) by William Friedkin and reveals a masterfulness by Håkan Serner.
