In the 1960s Helsinki a legendary Finnish boxer Olli Mäki (Jarkko Lahti) is waiting for an historic fight with American Davey Moore. Olli’s manager (Eero Milonoff) promises the press a spectacle never seen in Finland. Olli gives in to pressure. The exhaustive workouts weaken his body and mind, and a divorce with beloved wife Raija is breaking his heart.
