A daughter of a poor painter Lydia (by charismatic Karin Franz Körlof) and aspiring journalist Arvid (Sverrir Gudnason) fall madly in love. They cannot refrain from each other, yet one marries a daughter of a rich man, and the other marries an elderly wealthy businessman after the death of her father. None of them are happy in their marital lives as they long for one another. Yet once the meet again, it seems that their love affair is impossible. It is a passionate love story about our desires and the price we';re ready to pay for them. Film is an adaptation of Hjalmar Soderberg's novel "The Serious Game".
