Sara and her dad Dave move to a small village, which is haunted by suicides among its young inhabitants. Sara falls dangerously in love with one of the teenagers, Jamie, while Dave, as the town’s new police officer, tries to stop the mysterious chain of suicides. The film focuses on the relationship between vulnerable teenagers and their parents who are left in the dark as the inexplicable suicides gradually take on the character of a punishing ritual.

Jeppe Rønde

Jeppe Rønde, born in 1973, has directed feature films, commercials and documentaries since graduating in Film Science and Art History from the University of Copenhagen in 2002. His debut feature, documentary Jerusalem My Love (2003), won countless international prizes. Film The Swenkas (2005) was awarded with Best International Director award at the Toronto Film Festival. He won several Roberts for his TV and feature length documentary work. Apart from directing and often filming his documentaries, he has also composed the music to his films. His first fiction film Bridgend (2015) is based on real events.
