Since 1999, when they presented their first film, Pheonix Tapes, Christoph Girardet and Matthias Müller have been working together. Short films Manual (2002), Mirror (2003), Kristall (2006), Contre-jour (2008), Meteor (2013) and other have received numerous awards from many international festivals. Both artists have presented their work in exhibitions at major art institutions worldwide.
