A 60-year-old man is murdered in the Masurian village. Six local countrymen are implicated in the murder. Deceased turns out to be a recidivist, who for years had terrorized the inhabitants of neighbouring villages. Locals, not yet holding a criminal record, accused of murder with extreme cruelty, get absorbed in the gears of absolute inquiry and judiciary machine. The villagers, led by the families of the accused, are to fight for their acquittal. “Linch is a story about abandonment. Abandonment of civil obligations by the city to take care of the country, which gives way to pathologies born in the province,“ says director Krzysztof Łukaszewicz.
