The Art of Negative Thinking

1 hr. 33 min. | Drama, Comedy | N/A

The Art of Negative Thinking is a story about a thirty-three-year-old boy, Geira, nailed to a wheelchair. To show everyone how bad he feels, he transcends all boundaries. Geira separates himself from everyone, takes medication himself, and does not cease to pity himself. His girlfriend Ingvild doesn’t know what to grab and how to help him, so he invites a positive-thinking group from the municipality into the house. The group soon settles in Geiro and Ingvild's home for "treatment" 24 hours a day. Geir alone is not the only one who can look at anything positively. Gradually, all members of the group (as well as people with disabilities) move toward Geiro. The man leads everyone through a tunnel of despair, suffering, and despair until a ray of light is finally illuminated at his end. Then Geir understands the banal truth: you have to try to think positively, no matter how bad you feel.
