After witnessing the murder of his mother as a child, Jamil and his father flee from Lebanon to Denmark, where they missed a childhood in a ghetto, and the rude ethnic tensions between the Sunnis and the Shiites form a difficult character for the boy. When he gets involved in a criminal underground, the broken family ties fuel the already hot blood. When it turns out that the man responsible for the mother’s death lives in the same city, Jamil decides to do what the father found strength to resist: revenge for the mother’s death.
