Charly

Nicholas is a fourteen-year-old teenager who seems to be uninterested and unimportant. He sleeps a lot, barely pulls his legs while walking, has difficulty reading, speaks little, and basically spends his days in the corner of France. One day, Frank Vedekind's play "Awakening of Spring" suddenly falls into his hands. Here he finds a postcard whose addressee lives on the island of Bel Il. The teenager is attracted to look for the sea, and at the same time for himself. Along the way, he meets a provincial prostitute in red-haired Charlie. She is older, crazy about order, and is basically Nicole’s opposite. New friends embark on a journey toward self-awareness and the adult world.

“I think life, film and filming merge into a whole, turning into a real life stream. My story lasts 15 days, we filmed it in 15 days, no more. Haste is part of the project - that is my principle. Exceeding this limit, I would feel bad, as if I were cheating on something, ”says the director.
