Tikopia

Director Tom Lien has been the sixth guest on the island of Polynesia in Toppia for the past 15 years. Topia is the last traditional Polynesian island, barely touched by modern civilization. Tom Lien became friends with John, the son of one of the island’s commanders.

In 2003, Tikopia was hit by the strongest cyclone of all time in Pacific history. Throughout the week, the world had been suffocated by the fear that all the inhabitants of the island would no longer live. No one died because of their lifestyle alone, even though their homes and all their possessions were washed away at sea.
