Special programme “New Baltic films”

The Dark Deer

1 hr. 25 min. | Drama | N/A

Seventeen-year-old Ria is a sensitive and mysterious girl. Ria’s mother was involved in an accident, and when her daughter was born she stopped talking altogether. The family raises deer for hunting, although the business is not very successful. To make money, the father organizes a hunt. When German hunters arrive at the deer farm, Ria begins a desperate struggle to protect animal lives. This tragic drama takes place in a modern, albeit unusual, environment - a deer farm.
