Olga has long since made peace with living alone in her spacious apartment. But when she needs money for an operation, she has no choice but to rent out a room to Tulio, whose ailing wife is being treated at a nearby hospital. When Tulio has to go away for a few days, his nine-year-old son Cristian stays behind. Olga tries to keep the boy at a distance, but his openness and vulnerability force her to confront her greatest fear – letting someone in – as well as the pain of a loss she has kept buried. A tender, warm-hearted encounter between two lonely souls of different generations, the film premiered in Competition at the Berlinale.
