Sixty-year-old Mrs. Hau was born in a cave. She grew up among the Rục people on the coast of Vietnam. The outside world only learned of this community in 1959, and today only a few hundred members still speak the Rục language. In the film, Mrs. Hau passes her native tongue on to her grandchildren and shares with them the wisdom, folklore, and history of her vanishing people, while the filmmakers capture her journey through the living natural world on 16 mm film and soundtrack. One of the creators is Truong Minh Quý, who presented his film Viet and Nam at Cannes in 2024.
