When a scientific experiment goes too far and disrupts the multiverse system, agent Cory Harlan is sent to contain the resulting chaos. Drugged and trapped inside a strange house, he has only one mission—to find Anton Chambers. Yet every door leads him into another dimension of reality, and with it, a new film genre: from war drama to B-grade science fiction. Bulk is cinephile Ben Wheatley’s cinematic experiment, paying homage to Jean-Luc Godard’s Alphaville and the old analog tools of science fiction—from green screens to cardboard weapons and miniatures reminiscent of Georges Méliès’ early film tricks.
