When a scientific experiment goes too far and disrupts the multiverse system, agent Cory Harlan is sent to contain the resulting chaos. Bulk is cinephile Ben Wheatley’s cinematic experiment, paying homage to Jean-Luc Godard’s Alphaville and the old analog tools of science fiction—from green screens to cardboard weapons and miniatures reminiscent of Georges Méliès’ early film tricks.
