Today, Barberie Bichette is annoyed when her friends call her Barbie. In life, she was loved, she felt beautiful, she was a good mother and a reliable colleague. Now she is 55, and all she feels is absurdity and dread. How can she get rid of the nagging thoughts about old age, death, but also about herself and the immensity of life? The self-portrait of the French master of comedy reveals the existential crisis of man in three acts: comedy, tragedy and epiphany. This Life of Mine was finalised and opened the Cannes Directors' Fortnight programme after Sophie Fillières' death.
