A middle-aged couple, Karen and Markus, live with their children in the former's childhood country house. The peace is shattered when Karen's sister Jule and her family arrive for Markus' birthday. The sisters are a world apart. Disturbing memories of her dead mother prompt Jule not to give in to her commanding sister.
