"Aren‘t you happy?"
According to the protagonist of the film, melancholy girls can be typified as follows: they roam around, talk, have sex and nothing else happens. Yet there's enough to see in the 15 episodes that make up this postmodern comedy. Through a series of encounters Aren't You Happy? explores our society between precarity and self-marketing, serial monogamy and neo-spirituality, disillusionment and the pressure to be happy.
