Forced to leave their apartment because the construction works weaken the foundations of the building, Emad (by Shahab Hosseini) and Rana (by Taraneh Alidoosti) find themselves on the street. Quickly they’re forced to abandon the idea of getting their deposit back, the couple accept an offer from a friend who has an empty apartment. But the previous occupant had a such bad reputation that it leads to an incident where Rana injured. While she refuses to tell what exactly happened, Emad sets out to take revenge. Salesman is another Iranian director's gem which approaches to point the moral issues with such subtlety and suspense that one cannot help but call hitchcockian.
