In 1965 detective Babak Hafizi (actor Amir Jadidi) undergoes an interrogation after the Prime Minister was assassinated in front of the Parliament. Meanwhile, in flashbacks, he investigates the suspicious suicide of an exiled political prisoner in a vast desert valley. Assisted by a hippie sound engineer and a geologist, Hafizi unravels more than one mystery throughout this journey into the world of conspiracies, paranoia and hallucination.
