Moonika Siimets was born in Estonia in 1980. She has directed several documentaries, short feature films and TV programs. Her films Deus ex Machina (2005), Hello! My Name is Tom (2008), As Time Goes on (2012) etc.) have been selected to many international film festivals and have won several prizes. Right now M. Siimets works as a journalist and studies directing in MA program of the Baltic Film and Media School. She also has been given the Estonian Cultural Endowment award for her documentary films.
