A time when humanity as a whole refuses common perception. The time when God is dead, and the man is left to his own fate, to try hard, and look for answers. The way the man should take seeking his unique vision of the world is based on trial and error: what is the extent to which he can conduct his explorations. If you go too far, it’s hard to come back. This is the price an individual pays when trying to investigate the marginal whims of body and mind. That’s where the clash comes, between the individual and the society, between morality and what is not compatible with it, after all, and between life and death.
