Special programme “Northern Laughter”

Year of Hare

2 hr. 9 min. | Drama, Comedy | N/A

Vatanen, a young project manager at an advertising agency, suddenly throws everything away and decides to exchange a quiet and secure life in the Finnish capital for a natural refuge. Suddenly he gets a travel companion. And not just any hare that was hit and injured by the machine. At the same time, they enjoy a secluded life in Lapland, but are soon hampered by noisy tourist groups and pretentious Finns. Maybe it would be possible to escape from it, but one day the hare's health deteriorates - he needs to visit a veterinarian. And that means Vatanen will have to return to the same city he ran away from. Then he has a big dilemma - to choose a new life or go back to the old one.
