Main character Koistinen reminiscent of Chaplin little tramps. He is looking in this world for at least the slightest gap through which he could pass. But his friends and faceless society one by one destroy his most heartfelt dreams. Working as a night watchman, Koistinen is accused of robbery, which he did not commit, and most painfully, that he was betrayed by his beloved. Koistinen is left without a job, freedom and his dreams. But ... someone still loves him.
The film was screened in this year’s Cannes Film Festival competition program and presented for the European Film Academy Award.
