The Swedish physician Victoria works in a small village in the south-eastern part of Norway. Early one winter morning a young man is found dead in the snow. The police conclude that the dead man has been hit by the plough of a snow truck. Victoria finds herself getting involved in the lives of all those concerned by the accident when she points out there are indications the boy was the victim of a crime before being hit by the truck. The solving of death mystery uncovers a great secret. A secret, that Victoria prefers to keep to herself.
