With Everybody Digs Bill Evans, British documentary filmmaker Grant Gee makes his fiction feature debut. His previous film, The Gold Machine, completed a documentary trilogy about landscape and literature that began with Patience (After Sebald) and continued with Innocence of Memories. Gee is also known for the music documentaries Joy Division and Meeting People Is Easy, the latter focusing on Radiohead. He regularly creates video work for productions at major European theatres and opera houses and teaches documentary filmmaking at University College London.
