After serving 15 years in prison for a bank robbery, Anker is finally released. The money was hidden at the time by his brother Manfred, who now suffers from dissociative identity disorder, remembers nothing, and insists on being called John. The brothers set off to search for the buried loot, but along the way are forced to confront both their old and new identities.
