At night, Branko roams the streets of Belgrade, trying to understand his younger brother, who leaves behind strange traces: muddy shoes, bloodied sheets, suspicious haunts. Branko retraces his steps, but as paranoia grows, he begins to realize that the one behaving strangely may not be his brother, but himself. Drifting away from the city, he discovers another community in the forest and merges with the landscape. Returning to Scanorama for the second time, Serbian director Dane Komljen rejects narratives that pit the queer community against nature, seeking new ways to represent humanity’s place in the environment.
