Florence is madly in love and eager to finally introduce her dad to her boyfriend David. But David is no longer interested in the demanding girl, and plans to introduce her to his friend Willy in order to get out of the relationship. The four protagonists of the film find themselves in a secluded restaurant called "Second Act". The dark comedy is taken to another level as the actors argue and analyse their roles in real time, with an artificial intelligence voice directing them through a laptop. Thirteenth meta-film by provocateur Quentin Dupieux, which opened this year's Cannes Film Festival, is a timely witticism on topics that are still uncomfortable in the world of cinema, as well as on the creation and value of art.
