Lapland, 1984. Niina, a single mother of two, hears an explosion. It is reported that the Soviet Union has fired a missile into Finnish territory, threatening nuclear war. But the locals, who are caught up in the entertainment of the 1980s - alcohol, blown-out hairstyles and disco music - don't care. Niina takes it upon herself to investigate the incident. When the Finnish Air Force shows up in the town, Nina meets pilot Kai, who has more information about the missile. A absurdist comedy based on Cold War events and a drama of domestic violence, asking whether it is possible to understand danger before it is in full force.
