Joseph and Sonya are best friends, raising a baby together. While Joseph is struggling to find an idea for a new film and still recovering from his divorce from his boyfriend, Sonya is admitted to a clinic as a result of severe depression. Joseph is learning to be a dad without neglecting his professional and personal life. A comedy of sad jokes, inspired by the director's own life as well as by Eric Rohmer and Charlie Chaplin, this naked and unromantic comedy depicts what it means to doubt oneself and one's work, but to remain a human being in a world of intense emotions, pain and paradox.
