Cinephilia is a collection of nine interlinked stories. When Rolandas rents a room, he is visited by a young man who offers him €5,000 for a favour – filming the process of his suicide. Izabelė is drifting between reality and fiction. The film’s characters end up in situations reminiscent of Kafka’s The Trial or Polanski’s The Tenant. However, it all gradually turns out to be just a cinematic illusion. Rolandas and Izabelė are just actors, their fate controlled by the director.
