François Ozon
François Ozon was born in 1967 in Paris. With his Master’s degree in Cinema (Paris I), he entered the famous French school of cinema La Fémis in the director section in 1990. Since then, he has been shooting many films in super-8, video, 16 mm and 35 mm. Many of his short films have been in competition in various international festivals. Sitcom, his first feature, was screened at Cannes Festival in 1998. Ozon has achieved international acclaim for his films 8 Women (2002) and Swimming Pool (2003). In 2005 his film Time to Leave was screened at various film festivals worldwide. Ozon is considered to be one of the most important French film directors, his films The Refuge (2009), Potiche(2010), In the House (2012) were well received by both critics and audiences.
