This films is based on real events that happened in Lithuania and caused reverberations both at home and in France. It's night at one of Vilnius' hotels. Two men meet and converse about life, creation and unrequited love. Gradually their non-binding conversation gets intense and almost burst out into conflict. How are they related? Who is that woman they are talking about with this desire, pain and envy? What kind of secrets is guarded behind within this room? One fatal night in Vilnius witnessed the end of love affair between a cinema actress and a rock star. “One-scene films got my attention a few years ago when I was studying film production in Great Britain. I was fascinated by the very concept that you have to develop the plot being boxed up into a frame and not able to jump around, because there are certain time and place restrictions. So the idea and a strong wish to try this form of movie have been within me for a long time. The story itself was chosen out of desire to search for some sharp edges, to reflect drama and conflict, because the relationship between a man and a woman is not only about beauty and passion. I recalled an overwhelming and tragic love story between a French actress and a rock star which happened several years ago and overwhelmed a lot of people; some even named it a modern Romeo and Juliet version. I started digging for details and it was really a lot of work since various media gave various and quite different versions. I am not saying that this particular version which was transferred to the film is the true one and that everything happened exactly this way, but I think that according to all the facts, testimonies and recollections it stands very close to the truth. The film does not take anybody’s part; nobody is neither judged nor justified here. I just wanted to record that moment which sort of floats in the unknown and is fatal at the same time”, says director Simonas Gylis.
