Norway, January 1915. A boarding school for disobedient boys has been operating on Bastia Island for the second decade. The place is cold and horrible - in the people it scares the children: "If you are bad, I will send you to the island of the devils." The order here is ironic, and boys separated from society are brought up in sadistic ways. They are punished psychologically and physically, instead of being prepared for life, exploited as unpaid labor. One day, seventeen-year-old Erling is disembarked here. In his defense, he accidentally killed a police officer, so when he is eighteen, he will be transferred to an adult prison. The guy has a clear goal - to flee the island. However, in a damn torture facility, he befriends other guys and friendship no longer allows him to flee alone. Students begin to gather and secretly prepare for a disastrous rebellion.
