A comedy about a boy fanatically looking for a companion. There are two alternating story lines in the film, a burlesque-like chase for a companion and a tragic-comic love story.“My One and Onlies” presents situations and locations well known to us all with a unique, rough, dishevelled style, with dazzling camera movements and 4,500 cuts. The two stars of the film are Krisztián Kovács and Orsolya Tóth, the other roles are played by young amateurs in improvisative, happening-like scenes. Contemporary Hungarian alternative and electronic music plays an emphasized part transforming the film into a gigantic clip.“I could make a film about war or revolution but no such events happened in my life and I did not grow up in a big family, so the only thing left was shooting this crazy world of parties and girls. A world where there is not a single day in which you do a normal thing, so basically, it is a film about nothing. And I think I was able to shoot everything about nothing”, – says Gyula Nemes.
