The film is based on a true story about partisan Max Manus. After the Winter War against the Russians, in which he supported Finland, Max returns to Nazi-occupied Norway. He soon joined the guerrilla movement. Max Manus and the team carry out one operation after another, attacking German ships in the port of Oslo.
