“Devil’s Town” is a black comedy on Belgrade today. Few various characters’ destinies crisscross in a day when famous Serbian tennis players play important tournament. The poor girl that tries to afford herself tennis equipment at any price… The businessman that can’t avoid corruption… Teenage bimbo that tries to find rich husband... The rich teenager that can’t buy him love… The rich prostitutes who pretend that they are happy… The taxi driver who blames the rest of the world for his personal misfortune…“No one is such a great writer as the life itself. Clever writers steal from it. That kind of thievery can be art. You have to select what you want to steal, to get away unnoticed, to re-pack and sell the stolen good. I selected something that reflects my feeling about the times I am living. I had an urge to do that”, – says Vladimir Paskaljević.
