1969s. Thirteen-year-old Frits conflicts with the provincial school principal. The world is changing rapidly and corporal punishment is banned, but the tyrant director pays no attention to it. During his summer vacation, Frits watches TV. Martin Luther King’s speeches and dreams of a better life inspire the boy’s courage and desire to rebel. When the principal crosses the line by punishing Frits once, the student goes into battle with the leadership. The film is based on real events.
