Eero Perkola, is awaiting an order to attack. The platoon receives an order to search the shores of Lake Lieksa and find out if there are Russian defensive units there. While the soldiers are resting in the newly occupied village, Lieutenant Perkola meets his fiancée serving in the women’s auxiliary unit. The platoon continues its mission, but soon a terrible message reaches the lieutenant, which forces him to no longer worry about his own safety or that of the platoon...
