Seventeen-year-old Sami is taken to a psychiatric hospital after the accident. The young man does not speak and does not show any feelings. Sami’s mother cannot accept that her son was separated from her by force. She is convinced he would have been much better at home. Rudolf, a friend of Sami's ward, doesn't want to go home at all. A strange friendship is formed between the guys. Dedicated nurse Tanel is trying to help Sami and find out why he got sick. “Homesick” is a story of survival, care, and hope.
