22-year old Dilan pays for her forbidden love for a young man in a neighbouring village with her life. She has shamed the family and therefore must die at the hands of her own brothers. And as tradition will have it, the killing must be compensated.

Bülent Öztürk

Bülent Öztürk was born in 1975 in Baglarbasi, a small village in South-East Turkey. In 2007 he started film studies at the film school RITS in Brussels. During his studies Öztürk directed several short movies, such as Delayed Farewell (2007), Ten to Nine (2008), Dawn (2008) and documentary film Zaman Zaman, Talking Stones of Bakacaik (2009), acclaimed in Turkey.
